Meghan Breen received her B.A. degree in sociology and elementary education from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, and she earned her Master of Social Work degree at Syracuse University. She is Co-Coordinator of Fatih Formation for youth ministry at St. Lucy's Church in Syracuse.

 

Meg has been involved in environmental conservation work since her childhood. She began her career in elementary education, where she used environmental education as an integrating theme in her classrooms. She has worked as a therapist, social worker, and community organizer, and has developed environmental education and peace/nonviolence curricula. She is a social justice advocate, working to educate and empower marginalized youth, families, and communities. She continues to be involved in peace and justice efforts, environmental education, and organic farming and gardening.
